I cut out the control cavity cover and sanded it to fit. I used the router to plane it down to thickness and then sanded it flush. Not a perfect fit, but not bad either. The April showers were leaving their mark while I was trying to get the picture. I wet the whole thing down to make the color even for the shot. It looks like the grain will really pop once it’s oiled. Not a bad way to spend a rainy afternoon.
